$kay, please forgive me for this...
... But this made the GT obsolete.

I thought it was Koenigsegg's own motor? I know the CCX's had Ford V8's.

I mean....the bore centers are similar, I think. Literally not one thing is the same otherwise. They both have 8 cylinders...and are made out of metal stuff...guess they have those in common too.

I think there's like, one dimension that is still shared but yes it's pretty much all 100% original by now.

Not really. For the fraction of that cost you can build a GT that will murder it.

But there's no soul in a GT.

Your thinking of Pagani. Koeneggggsssseeggggg or whatever, is more technical than a German's wet dream. The GT has plenty of soul and heritage.

Yep. 5.0 just like my Mustang. :D
![]() 07/23/2014 at 00:22 |

The GT has a metric shit ton of soul.

Soul food?

Yes, if your soul is the semen of MURRICA

No thanks. Not the right soul. I don't want to be a stepchild, please.

Them's fighting words, mister. Now why don't you take that back before you get yourself hurt?

I am prepared for the inevitable battle, kind sir.

It's like a fat dancer going against a ballerina. The ballerina always wins. You'd have to be gracious and agile on your feet.

It isn't, its a koenigsegg developed 5.0L. The last car to use an actual ford mod motor was the CCR, the CCX is when they came out with their own 4.7L which looked very similar to the mod motor (for obvious reasons).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koenigseg…
The Agera is powered by an in-house developed 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 940 hp (701 kW) at 6900 rpm and 1,100 Nm (810 lbft) of torque at 4000 rpm
As much as I'd love it to be true, since my car actually "shares" a motor with the CCR.... I can't live in a lie.
I would love to put a set of koenigsegg coil covers on my car just to make people question many things, but they probably cost as much as my entire car.
This setup would look sick in my car, dry sump and all.

The Agera is how many years newer?
That doesn't mean the Ford GT lacks a soul just because its old. This car would shit all over a F40, F50 or a 288 GTO.
The FGT was the blue collar supercar taking a hammer to the white collar aristocracy, and its probably the only ford in the past 40+ years that actually skyrocketed in value after production ended.

What if you wanted a corner happy supercar that's light, agile and having a slightly useful trunk?

That's like saying a Nissan VH powers the whole range of current McLaren cars.

I thought they were developing their own blocks meow?
